# Messenger

> Connect your Facebook page so the agent answers on Messenger and on your ads' comments, and teach Meta which leads actually buy.

Messenger takes your agent to your business's **Facebook page**. It answers messages, replies publicly to comments on your ads, and drops every lead on your sales board.

## 1. Connect the page

On the agent card, go to **Channels → Messenger (Facebook) → Connect with Facebook**. Pick the page and the agent starts answering it. You can have several pages; each one is answered by a single agent.

## 2. Teach Meta who actually buys

Your Messenger ads look for people who **write**. Many write out of curiosity. Your board knows who bought, so it can tell Meta, and Meta starts looking for people like your buyers.

1. On the connected page, turn on **"Teach Meta who actually buys"**. Ghosty creates the page's dataset in Meta.
2. On the board, open **Configure columns** and set the **Meta** field on a column:
   - **Qualified lead**: when someone reaches it (e.g. "Demo booked"). Shows up in Ads Manager as cost per qualified lead.
   - **Sale**: when someone buys (e.g. "Customer"). It carries the card's **value**, in MXN. With it you can ask Meta to optimize the ad for sales.
3. Done. Every time a Messenger card enters a marked column, Meta is told **once**, even if you move it back and forth. The card logs it in its activity.

Your agent can mark them too: "mark the Customer column as a sale for Meta".

**Good to know:**
- Only cards that came in through Messenger count. WhatsApp cards or the ones you added by hand are not sent.
- A **sale with no value** is not sent: the card asks you to add an amount. Once it has one, move it into the column again.
- If Meta rejects the event (for example, the page is missing the events permission), you'll see it next to the page. Reconnect it and it's fixed.
